Slow Food Dinner at tayst, Wednesday, July 16- “Local" is the watchword for the tayst-hosted Slow Food Dinner Wednesday, July 16. Every course has a Nashville theme:
First tayst: Succotash- Second tayst: Biscuits and Gravy
- Third tayst: Hot Chicken
- Fourth tayst: Meat and Three
- Fifth tayst: Moon Pie
Come and see what special variations Chef Jeremy Barlow will play on these perennial themes. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $50 per person, excluding drinks, tax and tip. To make your reservations, call tayst at 615-383-1953. Tayst is at 2100 21st Avenue South, Nashville 37212.
Slow Food Nation Debuts This Summer- The inaugural Slow Food Nation will run from Friday, August 29, through Monday, September 1, in San Francisco. There will be activities for all ages, including food, music, forums, workshops, films and exhibits. Speakers will include Eric Schlosser, Marion Nestle, Michael Pollan, Wendell Berry, Alice Waters and Slow Food Founder Carlo Petrini.
